Terms of use.
Strategy O'Clock provides free tools for team discussion and prioritisation. These terms apply when you use the service.
Use rooms responsibly
Use the service lawfully and respect other participants. Do not enter confidential material, private contact details, passwords, financial account information, special category data such as health information, or criminal offence data. Do not use it for personal case files or decisions about an individual's employment, health, credit or legal rights. Prefer role labels to names. Initials can still identify someone.
Do not submit unlawful, threatening, abusive or rights-infringing content. Do not access rooms without permission, impersonate another participant, attempt to bypass host controls, disrupt the service or use it to distribute malicious code.
Room codes provide access to a shared workshop. The reveal control supports an orderly discussion; it is not a promise of confidential voting. Before reveal, the app hides participants' vote values for the current round; during blind collection it can also hide other participants' item text. Content becomes visible through the room interface as the workshop progresses, and participants may discuss, record or save what they can see. After results appear, participants can export them. The service does not promise anonymity or confidentiality.
If you organise a workshop
Make sure you have authority to run the session and share its content with the invited group. Tell participants what you are collecting, why, who can access it and what you will do with exports. Choose suitable tools and a lawful basis for any personal data, and share only what is necessary. The restrictions above still apply.
If incidental personal data appears in permitted workshop content, such as an authorised owner label, the data processing terms form part of these terms between the organiser and Strategy O'Clock. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to accept those terms for it. Our privacy notice explains the controller and processor roles.
Keep room codes within your intended group. Check results before relying on them. You are responsible for the decisions you make and for the lawful storage, access, retention and sharing of copies you export. Export what you need before closing a room or before its scheduled removal 48 hours after creation. We do not provide an archive of your sessions.
Your content
You retain your rights in the content you submit. You give Strategy O'Clock permission to host, transmit, display, format and reproduce that content only as necessary to provide and secure your room, carry out your instructions and meet legal obligations. This includes showing it to people who access the room and generating requested exports. This permission lasts only as needed for those purposes and the retention described in our privacy notice.
Submitting content does not grant a general licence for advertising, sale of content or AI model training. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit content and share it with the room.
Availability and changes
We aim to provide a useful service with reasonable care and skill. Availability and uninterrupted operation are not guaranteed. Network failures, maintenance or faults can interrupt a session or cause data loss. Keep a separate copy of information you need.
We may change or withdraw tools, or suspend access or remove content where reasonably needed for security, unlawful use, a breach of these terms, legal requirements or the continued operation of the service. Where practical, we will explain the reason and give reasonable notice of a material change or planned withdrawal so you can export your results. Urgent action may be necessary without advance notice.
Changes to these terms apply to future use from the date shown on the updated page. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where practical. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights or alter responsibility for an existing dispute.
Responsibility and your rights
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. A loss is foreseeable if it was obvious that it might happen or if both sides knew it might happen when you began using the service. The fact that the service is free does not remove rights you have under applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit. Your statutory consumer and data protection rights remain unaffected.
Workshop results support discussion. They are not professional advice or a substitute for your own assessment. You remain responsible for your actions and decisions, without reducing our responsibility for faults for which we are legally liable.
Law and resolving problems
The law of England and Wales governs these terms. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protections of the law where you live and any right to bring proceedings in your local courts. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
Email privacy@strategyoclock.com to report misuse or security problems, raise a privacy request or discuss a problem with the service. Include useful context without sending secret browser tokens or confidential workshop content. We will consider reports and respond as appropriate.
